Technologies at Our Dental Clinic

At Centre Dentaire Jardins Dorval, the technology we use helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly.

We are able to display your digital X-rays on the monitors in our treatment rooms with the touch of a button, allowing us to show you issues in your mouth, including those below the gum line or deep within your teeth.

This helps provide you with a complete understanding of your oral health, allowing you the opportunity to ask informed questions about your dental treatment.

Our goal with this in-depth communication is to help give you peace of mind while we work together to make decisions about your oral health.

Digital X-Rays

Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce highly detailed computer images of your oral structures and the conditions that can affect them. This allows your dentist to examine parts of the mouth that are not visible to the naked eye and provide a timely diagnosis and treatment options.

Panoramic X-Rays

Panoramic X-rays use a collection of images taken to create a complete image of your mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, nasal and sinus structures, and temporomandibular joints (TMJ). Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for dentures, braces, extractions and implants.

Cone Beam Cat Scan

Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a special type of X-ray machine that generates 3D images of dental structures, soft tissues, nerve paths and bone in the craniofacial region in a single scan. CBCT allows for more precise treatment planning due to its unique imaging capabilities, including analyzing your airway for snoring and sleep apnea treatment.
